Plum blossoms are typical flowers in the Moc Chau plateau. However, plum blossoms bloom very quickly, only blooming for about 2-3 weeks. The best time to see plum blossoms is from late January to early February, but depending on the weather each year, plum blossoms can bloom earlier or later. When the temperature is high, plum blossoms will bloom earlier and when the temperature is low, plum blossoms will bloom later. You must choose the most appropriate time to be able to see plum blossoms most fully.

Other Flower Seasons and Traditional Tet

During this time, in addition to plum blossoms, peach blossoms also bloom brilliantly pink. Every time Tet comes, these two flowers bloom together. Peach blossoms will bloom for 2 to 3 weeks and bear fruit. You can also see peach blossoms on every road, all the villages are colored by peach blossoms. Along with the flowers, this is also the traditional Tet holiday of the Northwest people. The Mong people's Tet usually lasts for 3 days, but a month before, all the villages in Long Luong, Tan Lap, Long Sap, Chieng Xuan, ... are bustling with the atmosphere of welcoming spring. Smart Travel Route

- First way: Go straight on Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan (towards Ha Dong) or go along Lang Hoa Lac street and then continue along Highway 6. Mostly go straight, but there are two intersections to pay attention to: the turn to Hoa Binh hydropower plant has a large banyan tree in the middle of the road, turn left and one has one direction to Thanh Hoa, one direction to Moc Chau. If you don't know which way to go, just stop at the intersection and ask, to avoid getting lost and having to turn around.

- Second route: From the center of Hanoi to Ha Dong, Xuan Mai. Go straight without turning at the intersections. To Xuan Mai - Hoa Binh, you go along National Highway 6, passing Cao Phong and Mai Chau in turn. Passing Cao Phong to Tan Lac, passing Tan Lac is the beginning of the steep pass. At the end of the steep pass, you will pass the flagpole in the center of Mai Chau district. Standing on this flagpole area, you can look down at the district and the hills full of white plum blossoms.

Beautiful Plum Blossom Viewing Spots

From Highway 6, crossing Son La Pass, you can see plum blossoms blooming on both sides of the road. You can see them everywhere, but the most beautiful is still going deep into the villages. The most beautiful plum blossom viewing spots include: Na Ka plum valley, Tan Lap village, Vat village, Pa Phach village, Ang village, Phieng Canh village, Long Luong, Thong Cuong, ... especially the road to Long Sap border gate and Ban Ang pine forest area is where the plum blossoms are most blooming.
