With its beautiful, overlapping natural landscape, Dragon Temple and Water Temple (Ha Long Commune, Ha Trung District) are attractive destinations for tourists when visiting Thanh Hoa.

Located at the northern gateway of Thanh Hoa, these are two sacred temples worshipping the Holy Mother. The Dragon Temple worships the Mother of the Upper Realm, and the Water Temple worships the Mother of the Water. The Dragon Temple has a location "back leaning on the mountain, front stepping on the water", with a charming, poetic and mysterious landscape of mountains and rivers... In front is a quiet bridge crossing a year-round clear, babbling stream. Behind is a steep, towering stone slope that seems to defy time. The special feature of the Dragon Temple is that the space around the temple is built of stone. All of this creates an ancient, pure look that few places have.

Following a small path, about 500 meters from the Dragon Temple is the Water Temple. The Water Temple is precariously located on the mountainside, facing a clear, cool stream all year round. The Temple of Mother Thoai is surrounded by many green trees, providing a large shade. What is special is that in this stream there are schools of thousands of fish, weighing about 2 - 6 kg and only swimming around a section of the stream more than 100 meters long. Local people call this the school of divine fish. Every time visitors come here, they are surprised and excited to see and take pictures with the school of fish. The fish live in caves, swimming out to the stream around the temple every day. The fish here only eat leaves to survive and do not eat their own kind. Over the years, the school of divine fish has grown.

In 1993, these two temples were recognized by Thanh Hoa province as historical and cultural relics and provincial-level scenic spots. With their ancient, sacred and mysterious beauty, Dragon Temple and Water Temple are among the attractive destinations of Thanh Hoa.
